From mid-August till the first of October is the best time to divide hostas.  The plants have time to reestablish before winter and the next spring, they come up looking great.  Sure you can take a shovel or knife and cut up your clumps, but if you’d like to learn how we feather our plants apart, come to our dividing demo offered each of the three days at noon.
