Blue hostas are blue due to a wax that coats the leaf in the spring.  As the season progresses, this wax slowly melts away and blue hostas become green hostas.  Our Blue Hosta Sale corresponds to the end of summer and is, therefore, billed as our “No Reason to be Blue Sale”.
